Momo (Fubon Media) announced June revenue of NT$9.82 billion, a 6.5% year-on-year increase, marking a record high for the month. PChome Online Network reported June revenue of NT$3.415 billion, up 15.49% year-on-year, the highest June revenue in nearly four years. Both companies attributed the growth to strong consumer demand driven by the 618 mid-year shopping festival and rising seasonal demand.
Momo's total revenue for the first half of 2024 reached NT$53.69 billion, up 2.38% year-on-year. The company stated that June benefited from the 618 mid-year promotion, which boosted platform traffic and transaction momentum. Combined with early demand from the plum rain season, the Dragon Boat Festival, and the upcoming summer vacation, sales of functional protective items, 3C electronics, home appliances, and festival food items surged.
Momo highlighted that the 618 campaign served as a comprehensive test of its platform traffic management and user conversion capabilities. Daily unique visitors in June increased by 20% compared to May, driving higher traffic and deeper browsing engagement. Notably, customers aged 20 to 29 saw double-digit growth in purchasing users, indicating expanding penetration among younger consumer segments. Looking ahead, Momo plans to strengthen product categories, membership management, fulfillment services, and merchant tools to boost second-half performance.
PChome reported June revenue of NT$3.415 billion, up 15.49% year-on-year, with first-half 2024 cumulative revenue reaching NT$18.953 billion, up 9.24%. The company said the 618 mid-year promotion boosted consumer spending, particularly for high-value 3C products such as Apple series devices, smartphones, wearables, and gaming laptops. Continued demand for AI applications also drove sales of motherboards, memory, and DIY PC components.
With summer approaching, demand for seasonal appliances like dehumidifiers and air purifiers increased. Summer travel demand boosted sales of sportswear, athletic shoes, and luggage. Additionally, PChome's fintech division continued to show strong performance, contributing to June's revenue growth.
