Key News on U.S.-Iran Conflict
(Tehran/Washington, 13th - CNA International Report) Iranian state media reported today that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has launched attacks on U.S. military targets and bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait. Meanwhile, the U.S. military announced it has completed a new round of strikes inside Iran.
The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) cited multiple statements released by the IRGC, stating that attacks were carried out on Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, the U.S. drone command center in Bahrain, and multiple air bases in Kuwait, including Ali Al Salem.
At the same time, the U.S. military stated on social media platform X: 'U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces employed U.S. fighter aircraft, naval vessels, one-way attack aerial drones, and for the first time, one-way attack unmanned surface vessels to strike Iranian military air defense systems, coastal radar sites, missile and drone capabilities, and small boats.'
The strikes aim to deter Iran from attacking ships transiting the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.
