According to a report from Central News Agency (CNA), the Irrigation Agency is recruiting 274 personnel for roles in irrigation engineering, irrigation management, and comprehensive administration. The selection exam will be held on August 29 in Taipei City, Taichung City, Kaohsiung City, and Hualien County. The starting monthly salary is NT$44,300, with benefits referenced from civil service standards. The application deadline is July 15.

As stated in a press release from the Council of Agriculture's Irrigation Agency, newly hired staff must serve at their original assigned management office for at least six years (including the probation period) before being eligible for transfer to another office. Interested applicants can register online via the dedicated portal of the Foundation for Irrigation Talent Development (https://exam.isdi.org.tw/) for the '2026 Irrigation Management Organization New Staff Recruitment Exam'.

The Irrigation Agency emphasized that although the recruited personnel do not hold civil servant status, their salary and welfare systems are designed with reference to civil service regulations. In recent years, starting salaries have been gradually increased, with this year’s level surpassing previous years. Employees receive a fixed 1.5-month year-end bonus, annual performance-based promotions, and performance bonuses.

Deputy Director-General Chen Yen-yuan of the Irrigation Agency stated that recruitment exams are held every two years, and successful candidates will be assigned to one of the 17 management offices across Taiwan.

The agency highlighted that the core mission of irrigation services is to support farmers by providing high-quality irrigation and drainage services. Primary duties for recruited personnel include inspecting and maintaining irrigation and drainage channels, rotating shifts according to irrigation schedules, and handling general administrative tasks.
