TAIPEI, July 14 (Central News Agency) — The World Federation of Chinese Business & Professional Women recently established a new chapter in England, marking its 97th branch worldwide. Taiwan's Representative to the United Kingdom, Yao Chin-hsiang, commended the association for its long-standing efforts in uniting Chinese businesswomen globally and promoting economic and trade exchanges, corporate collaboration, and social welfare initiatives.

The inauguration ceremony held in London was attended by approximately 100 guests. Headquartered in Taiwan, the association's President Lin Shu-min personally traveled to London, leading a delegation from various global chapters to express support for the newly appointed England Chapter President Tsai Yu-han and its members.

Representatives Yao Chin-hsiang, Deputy Representative Chiang Ya-chi, Overseas Community Affairs Division Chief Yeh Ti-yu, Economic Division Chief Wu Jo-lan, and Education Division Chief Pi Ti-an were invited to witness the event. Yao presented a congratulatory message from Hsu Chia-ching, Chairperson of the Overseas Community Affairs Council, to President Tsai.

According to the Overseas Community Affairs Division, members of the England Chapter come from diverse professional fields including finance, education, technology, cultural creativity, and the food and beverage industry, showcasing the rich and varied expertise of Chinese women in the UK. The chapter plans to host thematic lectures and business networking events to facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-sector collaboration.

The World Federation of Chinese Business & Professional Women originated as the 'World Chinese Business & Professional Women Association' founded in San Francisco, USA, in 1994.
