July Taiwan Stock Index Futures Drop 750 Points

(CNA, Taipei, July 14) The Taipei stock market closed down 642.57 points today at 44,737.95. The July Taiwan stock index futures (TAIEX futures) settled at 44,815, a decline of 750 points. Compared with the spot market, this created a positive spread of 77.05 points.

The Taiwan Futures Exchange set the opening reference prices for the nearest two-month index futures contracts at 45,565 points for July and 45,926 points for August.

The Taipei stock market closed down 642.57 points at 44,737.95, with a total trading value of NT$1.178617 trillion.

July TAIEX futures settled at 44,815, down 750 points, with 88,359 contracts traded. August futures closed at 45,135, down 791 points, with 35,759 contracts traded. Actual closing prices are subject to official announcements by the Futures Exchange. 1150714
