According to Central News Agency reporter Liu Shih-yi in Taipei, on August 3, candidates from the Taiwan People's Party running for New Taipei City Council, including Lin Tzu-yu, visited the Taipei District Prosecutors Office to file a complaint against Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) legislator Shen Fa-hui. They accused Shen of pressing a voting button on behalf of a colleague who was absent during a legislative session, allegedly violating laws related to document forgery and causing public officials to record false information. As of the time of reporting, no response has been obtained from Shen Fa-hui.

Based on press materials submitted by Lin Tzu-yu, along with fellow Taiwan People's Party New Taipei City council candidates Chen Yi-chun and Chen Yu-chieh, during the Legislative Yuan's deliberation on the Taiwan Children and Youth Growth and Future Account Act and the Highway Act on July 24, legislator Su Chiao-hui, who had officially requested leave from her caucus, was not present. However, her voting light was activated 47 times. Of these, one instance was confirmed to have been pressed by Shen Fa-hui on her behalf, while the remaining 46 instances remain unaccounted for. The candidates stated that surveillance footage exists within the Legislative Yuan and urged the Taipei District Prosecutors Office to immediately launch a thorough investigation.

Lin Tzu-yu and others stated that Shen is being charged with forgery of quasi-private documents and causing a public official to record false information. (Edited by Hsiao Po-wen)
