TSMC drops 60 NT dollars, Taiwan stocks fall over 1,000 points in early trading, breaking below 46,000 points

The Taiwan Stock Exchange index opened lower today, breaking through the 46,000-point mark, with the lowest point reaching 45981.89 points, a drop of over 1,000 points. "King of Stocks" TSMC fell 60 NT dollars to 2445 NT dollars per share.

Other heavyweight stocks' early trading performance: Hon Hai fell 3 NT dollars to 238 NT dollars; MediaTek fell 135 NT dollars at the opening, later narrowing its decline to 85 NT dollars, closing at 4250 NT dollars; Delta Electronics fell 65 NT dollars to 1925 NT dollars.
