Taiwan's Police College responded this evening, stating that the incident prompted the immediate activation of emergency medical services. The Taipei City Fire Department was notified to assist in transporting the injured student to the hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the student was not seriously harmed and will receive psychological counseling. The Police College stated that instructors meticulously perform firearm safety checks before each shooting training session and issue clear range safety discipline and confirm protective equipment is in place.

Furthermore, the Police College stated it will uphold a zero-tolerance and risk management attitude, strictly reviewing this incident. In addition to convening shooting instructors and assistants for safety operation workshops, it will continue to require instructors and students to adhere to range discipline and firearm safety rules, strengthening existing training mechanisms and safety standard operating procedures (SOP) to prevent similar situations from occurring.
