At 7:50 PM, the fire department received a public report stating that an oil pan in the kitchen on the first basement floor of Tao Ban Wu restaurant on Guangfu South Road, Daan District, had caught fire. Two command vehicles, 12 fire trucks, one ambulance, and 40 personnel were immediately dispatched to assist.
The fire was quickly extinguished at 8:12 PM. Upon investigation, the scene was a 6-story building, and the ignition point was in the restaurant on the first basement floor, where an oil pan and other items were burned. The burned area was approximately 1 square meter. A total of 85 people (including 15 employees) were evacuated, and fortunately, there were no casualties.
