Uni Girls Invited to MLB Taiwan Days; To Tour 4 Cities

The Uni-President Lions stated that after their cheerleading squad's performance at the Major League Baseball (MLB) Chicago White Sox "Taiwan Day" was highly well-received last year, they are expanding the scale this year to launch "2026 TAIWAN GRAND SLAM WEEK".

The Lions announced that the tour will kick off on May 26 (US time) at Guaranteed Rate Field, home of the Chicago White Sox. They will then travel to Daikin Park, home of the Houston Astros, on May 29, move to Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers, on May 30, and finally step onto the stage at Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves, on June 3. All four events will be held in the format of "Taiwan Day," aiming to let more American fans know about Taiwan through baseball and cultural exchange.

Eight cheerleading members will be sent for this tour. Captain Maggie said that returning to the United States, she hopes to use the experience from last time to lead the other Uni Girls members, "working even harder to let more international fans see the charm of Taiwan baseball through dance and cheering culture exchange."

Lions General Manager Su Tai-an also stated that the Uni Girls' ability to once again stand on the MLB stage not only represents that Taiwan's cheerleading culture is gradually gaining international attention, but also symbolizes that Taiwan's baseball culture continues to reach out to the world through exchange. He hopes that through the vitality and spirit of the cheerleaders, more international fans will come to know the passion and unique characteristics of Taiwan baseball, showcasing the baseball charm that belongs to Taiwan.
