Taiwan Water Corporation's 7th District Management Office announced today in a press release that it will carry out three projects, including electrical equipment inspections at Wengong Park Water Treatment Plant, on April 16. Due to the need for water suspension during construction, a total of approximately 40,000 households will be affected. The affected areas for general water suspension include Daliao District's Shanding, Yongfang, Guangwu, Huishe, Sanlong, Shangliao, Zhongxing, Jiangshan, Zhongyi, Liuqiu, Wengyuan, Xiliao, Yihe, Qianzhuang, Zhongzhuang, and Houzhuang villages (south of Fengping Road). Also, Fengshan District's Dongmen, Fengdong, Chengde, Chengxin, and Chengzi villages; Dashu District's Jiugu village and the Wacuo Street Small Industrial Zone area; as well as Hefah Industrial Park and Wanda Industrial Park. The impact period is from 9 AM to 8 PM on April 16. Additionally, for high-elevation areas at the end of the pipeline, the water suspension areas include Kaohsiung Municipal Kai-Syuan Hospital's Daliao Lily Garden, Daliao District Cleaning Team, Jinxue Road (high-elevation areas above the health center), Zhengqi Road, Zhongshan Industrial and Commercial School, and the Shanding Elementary School area. The impact period for these areas is from 9 AM to 12 AM on April 16. Taiwan Water Corporation's 7th District Management Office explained that it is estimated that normal water supply will be maintained in other areas besides the suspended areas. However, when water supply is restored, it will take some time for water pressure to return to normal at the end of water pipelines, in buildings, and in higher-elevation areas, so the restoration of water supply will be delayed. Furthermore, considering the progress of the project and public safety, traffic control will be implemented around the construction site. Taiwan Water Corporation's 7th District Management Office reminds road users to cooperate with detours and pay attention to traffic safety. During the water suspension period, residents are also reminded to complete water storage 6 hours before the suspension and to turn off the power to water pumps during the suspension.
