The Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA) explained via text message that starting at 6:52 a.m. today, a power trip occurred on the overhead lines between Tongxiao and Qingshui. After isolation by the power dispatch room, it was found that the overhead lines between Rinan and Dajia were out of power (unable to transmit power), causing the route between Rinan and Dajia to be temporarily suspended.

The TRA pointed out that it immediately established a level-two emergency response center and dispatched power units to handle the situation. A highway shuttle service was also initiated between Rinan and Dajia.

The TRA stated that the power unit reported the cause as members of the public cutting bamboo near the tracks, which fell and pressed against the overhead lines. The issue was resolved at 7:46 a.m., and the route returned to normal operation. The TRA expressed its deep apologies for the inconvenience caused to passengers. (Editor: Zhang Mingkun) 1150407
