Delegations from the United States and Iran held peace talks in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, with the US delegation led by Vice President JD Vance and the Iranian delegation by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

Vance stated that his negotiation team failed to reach a consensus with Iran after 21 hours of talks. According to accompanying media reports, he departed Pakistan today.
