(CNA Reporter Hao Hsueh-ching, Taichung, April 17) Taiwan People's Party founding chairman Ko Wen-je had a full schedule today, accompanying party-affiliated Taichung City council candidates for street campaigning. He first went to Fengyuan First Market in the early morning, visited Dajia Jenn Lann Temple in the afternoon, and in the evening, joined People's Party legislator Chen Ching-lung to accompany People's Party Taichung City council candidate Liu Chin-yu for street campaigning at Fengjia Night Market.
Upon arriving at Fengjia Night Market, Ko Wen-je first bought a cup of black tea. Then, Liu Chin-yu acted as a guide, leading him through several famous snack stalls at Fengjia Night Market. Ko Wen-je tasted plum-flavored guava, grilled fish, mung bean ice, grilled squid, candied hawthorn, and sweet potato balls, among others, all of which he highly praised, eventually admitting, "I've eaten too much."
On Friday evening, Fengjia Night Market was bustling with shoppers. From time to time, people along the way shouted, "Go, Uncle!" Some also requested autographs and photos. Ko Wen-je obliged everyone, signing autographs and taking photos with citizens. To avoid disrupting the vendors' business, Ko Wen-je finally chose to take photos with the public in front of the main gate of Feng Chia University before leaving.
Ko Wen-je said that the weather in Taichung is very good and he will visit again. He also mentioned that it is very convenient to travel to many places from Taichung. He recommended Liu Chin-yu to everyone and asked for their strong support. (Editor: Chen Jen-hua) 1150417
