Focus News on US-Iran War
(Central News Agency, reporter Pan Tzu-yu, Taipei, 18th) CPC Taiwan Corporation announced today that from 0:00 AM on the 20th to 12:00 PM on the 26th, gasoline and diesel prices will remain unadjusted. The prices will be 32.4 NTD per liter for 92 unleaded gasoline, 33.9 NTD for 95 unleaded gasoline, 35.9 NTD for 98 unleaded gasoline, and 31 NTD for super diesel.
CPC stated that in response to changes in the Middle East situation and considering the high oil price subsidies in neighboring Asian countries, in order to take care of domestic livelihoods and stabilize prices, CPC will continue to absorb costs and maintain the lowest prices in neighboring Asian countries from April 20 to April 26. The absorption for gasoline and diesel will be 3.6 NTD and 5.4 NTD respectively, slightly smaller than the previous week.
CPC noted that from the outbreak of the US-Iran war on February 28 to April 19, based on the floating oil price mechanism and policy implementation to stabilize prices, CPC Taiwan estimates it has absorbed a combined total of about 11.47 billion NTD for gasoline and diesel. It hopes to reduce the impact on people's daily lives and industrial operations while maintaining market mechanisms and continuing to keep domestic prices stable.
