The Qiaotou District Prosecutors Office stated today that the meeting decided that the Qiaotou District Prosecutors Office will coordinate various anti-bribery agencies to establish an inter-agency intelligence integration platform to ensure the completeness of evidence collection and evidentiary capacity, implement an immediate investigation mechanism, and actively promote anti-bribery propaganda, build social consensus, enhance public legal awareness, and pre-plan security measures before and after voting to ensure smooth election operations.
To strengthen the deployment of anti-bribery and anti-violence work in the jurisdiction, the Qiaotou District Prosecutors Office held the "115th Local Public Officials Election Anti-Bribery Pre-Election Strategy Meeting" yesterday, convening prosecutors, police, investigators, and immigration agencies to establish horizontal liaison and vertical command cooperation mechanisms, strengthen pre-election preparation work, hoping to exert the overall combat power of anti-bribery at the critical moment of the election. The meeting was presided over by Qiaotou District Prosecutor-General Kuo Ching-tung and Taiwan High Prosecutors Office Kaohsiung Branch Prosecutor-General Chu Chia-chi.
Chu Chia-chi stated that bribery, violence, and false information must never be allowed to undermine democratic values, and safeguarding a clean election environment is the duty and honor of law enforcement officers. Case handling should emphasize the quality of evidence and procedural legitimacy, adhering to the principle of "quality over quantity, justice over speed," and should also involve close cooperation among prosecutors, police, investigators, and anti-corruption agencies to jointly maintain the independence of case handling.
Regarding anti-bribery propaganda, Chu Chia-chi said that the determination of "will definitely investigate, will definitely catch, will definitely punish" should be clearly conveyed, reminding candidates and voters not to take chances, and calling on all citizens to jointly reject bribery.
