Trump Issues Another Ultimatum; Iran Rejects Temporary Ceasefire Proposal

According to Turkey's Anadolu Agency, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei stated at a press conference in Tehran that any cessation of hostilities could allow Iran's enemies to regroup.

He pointed out: "We must not waver in the slightest because of deadlines when defending our country. A ceasefire means creating a brief breathing space for the other side, allowing them to regroup and commit further atrocities. No reasonable person would accept this approach."

CNN, citing state media IRNA, reported Baqaei as saying: "We call for an end to the war and the prevention of its recurrence."

Reportedly, Baqaei also mentioned that Iran has formulated a response regarding the US demand to end the war, which will be announced "when necessary."

Reuters reported today that Iran and the US have received a proposal to end hostilities, which could take effect today.
