(CNA Reporter Wu Shu-wei, Taipei, 17th) Former President Tsai Ing-wen stated today that she made an appointment to go hiking with American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) Director Raymond Greene. She said Taiwan-US relations are like hiking—a solid partnership where both sides overcome difficulties together to climb to the summit.

Tsai shared via Facebook this afternoon that she went hiking with Raymond Greene. She noted that the Taiwan-US relationship is akin to climbing a mountain, representing a firm partnership working together to conquer challenges and reach the top.

Greene also posted on AIT's Facebook page, expressing his honor to stroll through Taiwan's beautiful mountains and forests with Tsai Ing-wen, discussing the progress made in US-Taiwan relations over the past decade.

Greene stated, "Moments like this remind us" that the friendship between the US and Taiwan is long-standing and profound, continuously extending forward just like the path they walked together. He firmly believes that the US-Taiwan partnership will continue to thrive and grow. (Editor: Lin Ke-lun) 1150417
