The Dajia Mazu pilgrimage entered Taichung City early this morning. The Wuri Division of the Taichung City Police Department took over security duties from the Changhua County Police. To prevent potential disturbances, 161 police officers and 92 civilian assistants have been deployed for traffic control. As the procession moves through Shada Rd in Dadu District, Wuri Division Chief Hsieh Po-hsien led the team to ensure the safety of the sedan. To avoid conflicts between different factions or gangs attempting to snatch the sedan, police have deployed heavy forces and activated the 'Drone Police Squad' for aerial patrols, mastering site dynamics without blind spots. The Mazu sedan is expected to cross into Shalu and Qingshui districts after noon. Based on historical crowd sizes, the Qingshui Division announced a traffic diversion plan, including reversible lanes on major roads. After the sedan stays at Qingshui Chaoxing Temple tonight, the intersection of Zhongshan Rd and Wuquan E Rd will be closed. Police have coordinated with local temples and groups beforehand, and will record the entire process to strictly prosecute any illegal acts.
