Matsu Smoking Cessation Badminton Cup: County Magistrate and Military Commander Fail to Reach Finals

The Lienchiang County Smoking Cessation Badminton Cup kicked off today at the LOHAS Gymnasium in Nangan. The event's highlights were the participation of County Magistrate Wang Chung-ming in the 'Fun Group' and Matsu Defense Command Commander Yin Chang-jung in the 'Elite Group.' Both leaders failed to advance to the finals, with the Elite title going to Chen Chih-ming and Yuan Kuang-lung.

Organized by the Badminton Committee of the Lienchiang County Sports Association, the tournament attracted over 100 teams for nearly 200 matches. The committee emphasized that the event aimed to encourage residents to lead active, smoke-free lives. Chairman Chen Chih-ming thanked the county government for its support, noting that the participation of top officials helped bridge the gap between the government, military, and local citizens.
