Driver Causes Multiple Collisions Near Keelung City Hall After Forgetting ''Park'' Gear; 4 ''Zombie Vape'' Cartridges Found

A man surnamed Liu caused a series of collisions in front of the Keelung City Government building this afternoon. After hitting a motorcycle waiting for a red light, Liu stepped out to inspect the damage but forgot to shift the vehicle into ''Park'' (P gear), causing the car to roll forward and strike another SUV and motorcycle. Police discovered four etomidate vape cartridges, commonly known as ''zombie vapes,'' inside Liu''s vehicle and will proceed with legal action. According to the police investigation, the 29-year-old Liu was turning from Xin 2nd Road onto Yi 1st Road around 3:00 PM when he allegedly took the turn too wide, entered the opposing lane, and hit a motorcycle, resulting in minor injuries to a female passenger. After the initial crash, Liu opened his door to check but failed to secure the vehicle. As the car rolled, Liu attempted to get back into the driver''s seat, but the vehicle ran over the motorcycle''s front wheel before pushing into a parked SUV and another motorcycle nearby. While Liu denied driving under the influence and passed a preliminary drug saliva test, officers found the illegal substances under his seat. He will be referred to the Keelung District Prosecutors Office for violations of the Narcotics Hazard Control Act and public endangerment.
