Thai tech firm Siam AI has denied exporting AI servers to China and affirmed its compliance with US export regulations, amidst a global supply chain investigation involving companies like AMD and Nvidia. Bloomberg reported that OBON, a company linked to Thailand's national AI program and Siam AI's cloud partner, allegedly facilitated the smuggling of servers equipped with Nvidia's advanced chips to China, with some reportedly sold to Alibaba. Siam AI's CEO, Ratanaphon Wongnapachant, who also previously served as OBON's CEO until at least May 2024, stated he could not comment on OBON's alleged activities but confirmed Siam AI's non-participation in any such actions. Siam AI emphasized its commitment to fully complying with all applicable US export and re-export control laws and regulations.
