Li Ming-tzu, a teacher at Taipei First Girls High School (Zhongshan Girls High School), has been honored as an 'Exemplary Educator' for her innovative teaching methods that foster creativity in Chinese language classes. After graduating from National Chengchi University with a degree in Chinese Literature and working at 'Business Weekly,' she pursued a teaching career. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she assigned students to interview family members, documenting their experiences and transforming these narratives into articles and radio programs. In response to the rise of AI, Li encourages students to use AI tools for research and literature review while still emphasizing handwritten essays for exams. For example, when studying Tao Yuanming's 'The Peach Blossom Spring,' students used AI to extract key information and rewrite it as a dialogue from Tao Yuanming's perspective, later creating short films with AI-generated characters. Beyond innovative teaching, Li is dedicated to supporting students in need, having previously helped a student with a complex background reintegrate into school life through trust and guidance. She continuously draws inspiration from reading, travel, and life experiences to develop new teaching approaches, viewing education as a journey of accompanying young students and helping them discover their unique paths.
