The Hsinchu City Volunteer Police Brigade, along with volunteer police officers, visited the Hsinchu Branch of National Taiwan University Hospital today to present 200 sets of cakes and facial masks to the nursing staff. Brigade Leader Zhou Xinhong expressed hope that their actions would convey warm wishes and appreciate the hard work of the nurses.

The慰問 activity was initiated by Peng Peitong, Deputy Brigade Leader of the Hsinchu City Volunteer Police Brigade. Representatives from the hospital who received the gifts included Zhu Zhengzhi, Special Assistant to the President of the Hsinchu Branch of National Taiwan University Hospital, Li Fangshan, Director of the Nursing Department, and Huang Xinping, Chief Supervisor.

In an interview with CNA, Zhou Xinhong stated that volunteer police have long assisted the police in maintaining social order, while nurses protect patient health on the medical front lines. He expressed understanding of the strenuous efforts of nurses who work long shifts and care for patients day and night. The brigade presented 200 sets of cakes and masks to the nurses today to express their respect and gratitude.

He added that through this simple gesture, they hoped to convey warmth, making the healthcare professionals feel "sweet in their mouths and warm in their hearts." He urged nurses to take care of their physical and mental health amidst their busy schedules, continuing to be a vital force in protecting citizens.

Li Fangshan commented that the nursing work environment remains challenging, yet many nurses remain on the front lines, continuously safeguarding patients and their families. She expressed hope for continued support and encouragement from all sectors of society, allowing healthcare professionals to feel more empowered on their caregiving journey.
