Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai attended an environmental cleanup event in Dalin District, Kaohsiung, today. He mentioned that the Kaohsiung City Government has allocated a budget of about NT$30 million in recent years to promote environmental improvement and facility upgrades in mountainous areas, encouraging the public to participate in forest maintenance and practice a zero-carbon green lifestyle.

Chen Chi-mai attended the "Clean Mountain Forest, Walk Together, Environmental Cleanup GoGoGo" event at Guanyin Mountain Scenic Area in Dalin District this morning and walked into the mountains with the public. He stated that the city has been continuously promoting environmental improvement in mountainous areas, allocating a budget of approximately NT$30 million. This includes trail and surrounding area maintenance, public facility upgrades, and safety facility enhancements, aiming to improve the overall recreational quality.

According to a press release from the Kaohsiung City Government, Chen Chi-mai said in his speech that Kaohsiung possesses rich natural resources and diverse mountain landscapes. Hiking has become a common form of exercise and a way for the public to connect with nature. He encouraged everyone to venture into the mountains more often and develop regular exercise habits. He also called on the public to practice the "Leave No Trace" principle, taking their trash back down the mountain, to jointly maintain a clean and safe hiking environment and protect precious forest assets.
