(Tehran, 18th, AFP) The Iranian government stated today that it has responded to the latest US proposal to end the war, adding that despite Iranian media describing Washington's demands as excessive, the two sides continue to negotiate through Pakistan.

AFP reports that Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said at a press conference: "As we announced yesterday, our concerns have been communicated to the US side."

He stated that the related negotiations "are ongoing through the Pakistani mediator," but provided no further details. (Translation: Yang, Chao-yen)
