(CNA, Washington, 18th) U.S. President Trump told the New York Post today that after receiving a disappointing latest response from Iran on peace deal negotiations, he is "not open" to making any concessions to the Tehran authorities. In a phone interview with the New York Post, Donald Trump stated that Iran knows "what's going to happen." During the call, he appeared to reject Iran's diplomatic proposal from the previous day. When asked about his comments on the 15th expressing willingness to accept Iran's suspension of uranium enrichment for 20 years, Trump replied, "Right now, I'm not open to anything." He also added, "I really can't talk to you about that, there's too much happening right now." After his trip to China, Trump reportedly consulted with his national security team over the weekend about the next steps regarding Iran, with more meetings expected tomorrow. He mentioned that he is not "frustrated" with Tehran, while making it clear that Iran is fully aware that the U.S. can exert greater pressure. Trump also claimed, "I can tell you, they want to make a deal more than ever before, because they know we—they know what's going to happen soon." (Compiled by: Chen Yan-Chun) 1150519
