May Electronics Futures Fall, Financial Futures Rise

(CNA, Taipei, 19th) The Taipei stock market fell 716.26 points today, closing at 40175.56 points. May electronics futures closed at 2604.05 points, down 47.05 points, with a positive basis (contango) of 8.92 points. May financial futures closed at 2542.60 points, up 27.60 points, with a positive basis of 2.79 points.

May electronics futures settled at 2604.05 points, a decrease of 47.05 points, with a trading volume of 395 contracts. June electronics futures settled at 2622.80 points, a decrease of 40.10 points, with a volume of 88 contracts.

The electronics spot index closed at 2595.13 points, down 58.36 points. Compared to the spot market, May electronics futures had a positive basis of 8.92 points.

May financial futures settled at 2542.60 points, an increase of 27.60 points, with a trading volume of 468 contracts. June financial futures settled at 2561.80 points, an increase of 37 points, with a volume of 70 contracts.
