(CNA, Taipei, by reporters Hsieh Chun-lin and Huang Li-yun, May 19) In the case involving Sun An-tso (now known as Sun Chien-hao), son of actor Sun Peng, who created a homemade flamethrower and posted a video, Sun An-tso has been detained and is being held incommunicado. Today, the cameraman surnamed Chiang and the financial backer surnamed Chiu voluntarily came forward to provide statements. After questioning, the Shilin District Prosecutors Office ordered them released on NT$20,000 bail each and placed them under restricted residence. Sun An-tso and a friend surnamed Chen had previously tested the homemade flamethrower by a riverbank and posted a video on social media. They were arrested on the 16th. During the search, police also found a replica gun and a modified shotgun. After police questioning, they were transferred to the Shilin District Prosecutors Office. Mr. Chen was released on NT$30,000 bail, while Sun An-tso was ordered to be detained and held incommunicado by the Shilin District Court. It is understood that the cameraman, Mr. Chiang, also known as "Youzi," recently publicly admitted to being the one behind the camera. At around 9 a.m. today, he, along with the founder of "Ken-Gan Star Fighting Match," Mr. Chiu, voluntarily went to the Beitou Precinct of the Taipei City Police Department to give a statement. Mr. Chiu claimed to have a project collaboration contract with Sun An-tso, stating that besides funding the video, he also connected "Youzi" to film it, with the goal of increasing video traffic. After police questioning, the two expressed their willingness to cooperate with the prosecutor's investigation and voluntarily went to the Shilin District Prosecutors Office in the afternoon. After questioning, the prosecutor determined that the two were suspected of committing the offense of public intimidation under the Criminal Code and ordered Mr. Chiu and Mr. Chiang to be released on NT$20,000 bail each, with their residences restricted.
