Sun An-Tso Flamethrower Case: Two Accomplices Voluntarily Surrender for Questioning

(CNA reporter Huang Li-yun, Taipei, 19th) Sun An-Tso (now known as Sun Chien-hao), son of actor Sun Peng, was recently arrested, detained, and held incommunicado by prosecutors and police for building a homemade flamethrower. It is understood that the videographer for this case and a financial backer surnamed Chiu voluntarily came forward to provide statements this morning and willingly reported to the Shilin District Prosecutors Office for questioning in the afternoon. Sun An-Tso and a friend surnamed Chen tested the homemade flamethrower by a riverbank and posted a video on a social media platform. On the 16th, they were arrested by prosecutors and police. During the search, an imitation gun and a modified shotgun were also found. After police interrogation on the 16th, Sun was transferred to the Shilin District Prosecutors Office for further questioning and a detention request was filed. The Shilin District Court ruled to detain Sun An-Tso and hold him incommunicado. It is understood that the videographer in charge, "Yuko," recently publicly admitted to being the person behind the scenes. At around 9 a.m., he, along with Mr. Chiu, the founder of the "Kengan Celebrity Fighting Match," voluntarily went to the Beitou Precinct of the Taipei City Police Department to give a statement. Mr. Chiu confessed that he had a project collaboration contract with Sun An-Tso. Besides funding the video shoot, he also connected Sun with "Yuko" to handle the filming, with the objective of driving video traffic. After the police inquiry, the two men expressed their willingness to cooperate with the prosecutor's investigation and voluntarily went to the Shilin District Prosecutors Office for questioning in the afternoon.
