(CNA, Taipei, May 19, Reporter Chiang Ming-yen) The Taiwan stock market opened lower today, dropping over 180 points in early trading before briefly turning positive and fluctuating around the 40,750-point level. TSMC fell by NT$20 to NT$2,220, a decrease of 0.89%. Hon Hai rose by over 1%, Largan once again hit its limit-up price, and UMC gained over 3%. The PCB sector rebounded, with TUC up over 2%, and Gold-flex and Unimicron both rising over 5%. The memory sector experienced a downturn.
