(CNA reporter Tseng Jen-kai, Taipei, 19th) The Taiwan Index Corporation today released the results of its periodic index review, involving constituent stock changes or weight adjustments for as many as 14 indices. The most watched among them, the Taiwan Value High Dividend Index tracked by the popular high-dividend ETF Yuanta Taiwan Value High Dividend (00940), underwent a "10 in, 10 out" reshuffle of its constituent stocks, with companies like Inventec and Taiwan Mobile being newly included. In this adjustment of the Taiwan Value High Dividend Index, 10 original constituent stocks were removed, including Compal, Compal Electronics, Quanta Computer, Merry Electronics, Evergreen Marine, Getac, Quanta Storage, Powertech Technology, Sigurd, and Wistron NeWeb. Meanwhile, 10 new stocks were added: Inventec, Sunonwealth, KGI Financial, Taishin Shin Kong Financial, Taiwan Mobile, MiTAC, ASMedia, L&K Engineering, Marketech, and E Ink. The Taiwan Index Corporation stated that this change in the constituent stocks of the Taiwan Value High Dividend Index will take effect from May 20. A five-trading-day transition period will be established from the effective date of the periodic review, during which the weight distribution of the changed stocks will be adjusted within the five trading days.
