(CNA, Taipei, by Yu Kai-hsiang, May 20) Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense (MND) released its daily report on Chinese military activity today, stating that from 6 a.m. yesterday to 6 a.m. today, the armed forces detected 6 Chinese naval vessels and 13 Chinese military aircraft that crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait, intruding into northern, central, southwestern, and eastern airspace. The military is closely monitoring and responding with its mission aircraft, naval vessels, and shore-based missile systems. This morning, the MND published the movements, which detailed that between 6 a.m. yesterday and 6 a.m. today, a total of 6 Chinese naval vessels, 3 government ships, and 24 military aircraft were detected. Among the aircraft, 13 crossed the Taiwan Strait median line to enter the northern, central, southwestern, and eastern airspace, continuing their activities around the Taiwan Strait.
