Lin Yi-Ting's Two Homers Power Taoyuan Past Changhua into Oh Sadaharu Cup Final

(CNA, Taipei, May 20, by Su Shih-she) In the semi-finals of the Oh Sadaharu Youth Baseball Tournament, the Taoyuan City team blasted four home runs, including two from outfielder Lin Yi-Ting, to defeat the Changhua County team 15-3. They will now compete against the New Taipei City team for the championship tomorrow. In today's two semi-final games of the 115th Dajia Mazu Cup Oh Sadaharu Youth Baseball Tournament, New Taipei City first secured its spot in the final. The other game saw the Taoyuan City team clinch victory with its powerful offense, racking up 15 hits and scoring in seven consecutive innings. The Changhua County team only got on the board in the bottom of the 6th inning with a hit by Chen Hsiu-Hsin, followed by a two-run homer from Lin Chia-Cheng. The Taoyuan City team hit four home runs in total. Lin Yi-Ting hit a two-run homer in both the 6th and 7th innings. Additionally, Liao Yuan-Shu hit a solo homer in the 5th, and Cheng Yu-Cheng added a two-run shot in the 7th. Cheng Yu-Cheng had a 4-hit, 3-RBI performance, while Lin Yi-Ting contributed 2 hits and 4 RBIs. Taoyuan employed a pitching relay. Starter Li Hsing-Han pitched 3 innings, allowing one hit and no runs. The second pitcher, Huang Tzu-Yen, pitched 2 scoreless innings to earn the win. The third pitcher, Yang Cheng-En, gave up 3 runs on 4 hits in 2 innings.
