May Electronics Futures Fall, Financial Futures Rise

(CNA, Taipei, 20th) The Taipei stock market fell by 154.74 points today, closing at 40020.82 points. May electronics futures closed at 2587.05 points, down 14.55 points, with a positive basis (contango) of 3.41 points. May financial futures closed at 2545.80 points, up 3.20 points, with a positive basis of 6.59 points.

May electronics futures finished at 2587.05 points, a decrease of 14.55 points, with a trading volume of 62 contracts. June electronics futures finished at 2592 points, down 30.80 points, with a volume of 332 contracts.

The electronics spot index closed at 2583.64 points, down 11.49 points. Compared to the spot price, the May electronics futures had a positive basis of 3.41 points.

May financial futures finished at 2545.80 points, an increase of 3.20 points, with a trading volume of 131 contracts. June financial futures finished at 2558.40 points, down 3.40 points, with a volume of 217 contracts.

The financial spot index closed at 2539.21 points, down 0.60 points. Compared to the spot price, the May financial futures had a positive basis of 6.59 points. The actual closing prices are subject to the announcement by the Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX). 1150520
