(CNA, Hsinchu, May 21, by reporter Chang Chien-chung) Semiconductor chip makers Analog Integrations Corporation (沛亨) and Amazing Microelectronic Corp. (晶焱) expect their revenues this year to grow compared to last year. Analog Integrations stated that order visibility for its fiber optic products has reached the first quarter of next year. Amazing Microelectronic noted that with effective customer inventory destocking, its operations are expected to return to growth this year.
Analog Integrations and Amazing Microelectronic held an earnings conference today. Analog Integrations reported that its Q1 revenue was NT$660 million, a quarterly increase of about 10%. It expects Q2 revenue to maintain a similar quarterly growth rate, and H2 performance to surpass H1.
Analog Integrations said that thanks to strong demand from Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), its production capacity for fiber optic products is fully sold out through the end of this year, with order visibility extending to the first quarter of next year. This year's fiber optic product output will increase by 3 to 5 times compared to last year.
ESD protection solution provider Amazing Microelectronic pointed out that due to customer inventory destocking, its revenue last year was NT$2.456 billion, a decrease of 10.51%. With effective customer inventory reduction, its revenue for the first four months of this year reached NT$882 million, a year-over-year increase of 13.23%. It expects H1 revenue to grow compared to the same period last year and hopes for similar growth in H2, leading to a return to growth for the full year.
Amazing Microelectronic stated that it has traditionally focused on the Asian market but has been expanding into European and US markets in recent years. This strategy is gradually paying off, with the share of markets outside Asia increasing to 7% in Q1 of this year.
Amazing Microelectronic noted that its Q1 gross margin was squeezed to 34% due to rising wafer and packaging/testing costs. The company will control costs and is considering adjusting product prices in response.
