(CNA, Kinmen, May 21) Independent Kinmen County Deputy Magistrate Lee Wen-liang will hold a tea party tomorrow afternoon to establish a service office for local residents, where he will announce his candidacy for Kinmen County Magistrate. Regarding whether he will resign as deputy magistrate, Lee said today that he will clarify everything tomorrow. Lee told a CNA reporter that he will present his preliminary ideas for the election tomorrow. The event will also include ceremonial activities such as worship and making zongzi. Incumbent Kinmen County Magistrate Chen Fu-hai has not announced whether he will seek re-election. The Kuomintang (KMT) has already nominated KMT legislator Chen Yu-chen for the race, while former KMT Kinmen County Magistrate Yang Cheng-wu has stated he "will definitely not be absent," sparking speculation.
