Man in His 60s Dies in Afternoon House Fire in Dacheng, Changhua

The Fire Department dispatched 33 personnel to provide aid and extinguish the blaze. During a search of the interior, they discovered a 60-year-old man, surnamed Hsu, who was already deceased. The detailed cause of the fire is pending investigation.

The Changhua County Fire Department received a report at 3:39 PM that a fire had broken out in a single-story house on Dongping Road in Dacheng Township. Fire crews rushed to the scene. The burned area was approximately 5 square meters with no risk of spreading.

Nearby residents indicated that one person was suspected to be trapped inside. Firefighters laid out hoses and entered the house to search. At 4:13 PM, they found the 60-year-old man, surnamed Hsu, clearly deceased in a bedroom behind the ancestral shrine hall on the first floor.

The Fire Department stated that 15 fire trucks of various types, 2 ambulances, and 33 firefighters were dispatched for this incident. The residential fire alarm in the home had been activated. The cause of the fire is yet to be clarified.
