With TSMC building a plant in Dresden, Germany, Taiwanese supply chain companies are expanding into the Czech Republic. i-TRANS Global, which specializes in hazardous chemical logistics, will establish a semiconductor critical materials logistics center in the Ústí nad Labem Region, near the German border, with operations expected to begin in 2028. i-TRANS Global held a launch ceremony in Prague on the 20th, attended by Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung and other officials. Minister Lin stated that cooperation between Taiwan and the Czech Republic has expanded into strategic industries like semiconductors and AI. Jan Michal, CEO of CzechInvest, noted that this investment symbolizes the expansion of Taiwan's semiconductor supply chain into Central and Eastern Europe. i-TRANS Chairman Chang Hsi-pin said the company aims to provide professional logistics services to meet Europe's industrial development needs.
