A man surnamed Huang in Taichung, reportedly dissatisfied with the police, went to the Song'an Police Station of the Taichung City Police Department's Fifth Precinct recently and used a megaphone to shout, "All police, come out and stand in the corner." He was subsequently referred for prosecution. The Taichung District Court recently fined him 3,000 TWD for violating the Social Order Maintenance Act, and the decision can be appealed. According to the court's criminal ruling, Huang committed the act at 12:52 PM on May 1, 115. The police determined that he had disturbed a public place while public servants were performing their duties according to law, and referred him to the court. After the trial, the judge ruled that while Huang used inappropriate language during the performance of official duties, it did not reach the level of violence, coercion, or insult. The court issued the 3,000 TWD fine on the 18th.
