Two police officers in Yilan County fired 11 shots at the tires of a car with fake license plates on the evening of the 22nd after the driver refused to stop and attempted to flee. The driver managed to escape. Police later found the abandoned vehicle, but the driver was nowhere to be found. A special task force has identified the suspect and is currently in pursuit. The incident occurred near the Ciansi Temple in Luodong Township. Patrol officers spotted the suspicious vehicle and attempted to stop it, but the driver refused to comply and rammed the officers, causing minor leg injuries to two of them. To prevent further harm, the officers fired 11 warning shots at the tires, but the car accelerated toward Wujie Township. Police have since launched a manhunt.
