The 'Drawing for Freedom' (Dessins pour la liberté) political cartoon exhibition, co-hosted by the Geneva municipal government and several international organizations, is being held on the shores of Lake Geneva from the 1st to the 31st of this month. The exhibition focuses on three major issues: authoritarian politics, the impact of AI, and threats to freedom of speech and the press. The exhibition features works satirizing global leaders, highlighting the role of editorial cartoons in democracy and public debate. Notably, works concerning security in the Taiwan Strait are also on display, drawing international attention. A French visitor remarked on the importance of cartoons in critiquing those in power and was impressed by the clear message of the work regarding Taiwan. A Taiwanese tourist traveling in Switzerland also expressed interest in seeing such a large-scale outdoor exhibition of satirical cartoons.
