CNA (Taipei) Senior official training began today, and President Lai Ching-te said in his opening remarks that the government will continue to support the growth of the civil service system and promote national human resource development and reform. He also expressed hope that senior officials will make good use of AI technology to promote innovative government governance, implement net-zero transitions toward smart sustainability, and establish cross-domain collaborative thinking to enhance the nation's overall resilience. The Civil Service Development Institute held the opening ceremony for the "115th Year Leap Forward Training Program for Senior Officials" today, with President Lai, Examination Yuan President Chou Hung-hsien, and Vice President Hsu Shu-hsiang in attendance to encourage the trainees. President Lai pointed out that Taiwan has steadily overcome challenges in recent years, including the pandemic, geopolitics, supply chain restructuring, and extreme climate, and that the government will continue to build a more resilient, competitive, and caring Taiwan. He stated that the new era of AI has arrived, and the government is actively promoting the "New Ten AI Projects" to introduce AI into all industries and enhance competitiveness. Furthermore, to address climate change, he urged officials to treat net-zero transition as a major national project, pushing for dual digital and green transformations.
