Large-Scale Water Outage in Kaohsiung on June 3rd Affecting 210,000 Households

According to CNA, the Taiwan Water Corporation announced that water supply will be suspended or reduced in Kaohsiung's Fengshan, Daliao, Linyuan, and Xiaogang districts from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM on June 3rd. In some areas of Linyuan and Xiaogang, the outage will last until midnight on June 4th. The measure is to facilitate electrical equipment inspections at the Kaotan Water Treatment Plant and maintenance of raw water pipelines in Daliao, affecting a total of 210,000 households. The affected areas include numerous neighborhoods across the four districts. The company advises residents to complete water storage six hours before the outage begins and to turn off water pumps during the outage to prevent damage from dry running. While water supply will remain normal outside the affected areas, the company warns that water pressure may take longer to normalize in high-rise buildings and high-altitude areas after service is restored.
