CWA forecaster Huang En-hung advised that the main concern for the coming week is high heat. From tomorrow through the 26th, sunny to cloudy conditions will prevail, with afternoon thunderstorms in mountainous areas of central and northern Taiwan, Yilan, and Hualien, and a chance of rain in the plains of Yilan. Huang noted that on the 27th and 28th, weather will remain cloudy to sunny, with local afternoon thunderstorms in Taipei and Yilan, and sporadic rain in Hualien and mountainous areas of central and northern Taiwan. On the 29th and 30th, a front will approach, bringing localized showers or thunderstorms to central and northern Taiwan and Yilan, with sporadic rain elsewhere. Regarding temperatures, inland southern Taiwan may see highs of 37°C from tomorrow through the 26th. On the 26th, Taipei, the Huadong Valley, and inland central Taiwan also have a chance of reaching 37°C. The heat will persist on the 27th and 28th, but temperatures will drop slightly on the 29th and 30th due to the front. Additionally, fog is expected in Kinmen and Matsu from tomorrow through the 26th, affecting visibility, and a foehn wind may occur in Taitung.
