A gas explosion occurred at a coal mine in Qinyuan County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, China, on the evening of the 22nd, resulting in 82 deaths. Rescue operations are currently underway. According to Xinhua News Agency, the accident took place at the underground facility of Shanxi Tongzhou Group Liushenyu Coal Industry Co., Ltd. Following the incident, Chinese President Xi Jinping issued instructions to prioritize the rescue of survivors, organize search efforts scientifically, and handle the aftermath properly.
