Kyiv, May 23 (CNA) - Oleh Hryhorov, governor of Ukraine's Sumy region, stated that a Russian drone attacked a funeral procession in the suburbs of Sumy city in northeastern Ukraine today, leaving one person dead and nine others injured. According to Reuters, Hryhorov did not provide further details, while local media reported that an attack drone struck the road near a bus. The war in Ukraine has now lasted for over four years, longer than the Soviet Union's involvement in World War II. Sumy city is located approximately 30 kilometers from the Russian border and has been frequently targeted by Russian missile and drone attacks during the ongoing war.
