Residents Complain of Shaking During PSY Concert at Taipei Dome; City Demands Improvement from Farglory

Taipei City Councilor Chen Yu-cheng pointed out that residents living near the Taipei Dome have reported feeling vibrations during concerts by A-Mei, ONE OK ROCK, and most recently, PSY. The Sports Bureau stated that it has formally requested Farglory Dome to submit an improvement plan by June 1. Councilor Chen criticized the city government for its slow response, noting that he had previously raised concerns about resonance issues. Residents have complained that the entire area shakes and that the city and Farglory are passing the buck. The Sports Bureau responded that future event applications will be scrutinized to consider the nature of the performances and their impact on the surrounding community, with potential requirements for adjustments to content or timing. Farglory has also been notified to ensure that event organizers take measures to minimize the impact on local residents.
