Wu Ke-neng, Secretary-General of the Hakka Affairs Council, attended the awards ceremony today, stating that if one more person in society begins to understand Hakka culture, the promotion of the Hakka language will proceed more smoothly. He expressed hope that everyone could become an ambassador for Hakka language and culture. Wu pointed out that this competition covers all age groups, from children and youth to social and senior groups, representing the core value of Hakka language inheritance. He emphasized that the promotion of Hakka language and culture cannot be achieved by the government alone and requires collective participation. During the ceremony, the Taipei Philharmonic Choir performed the premiere of 'Song of Dapu,' composed by a Slovenian arranger inspired by Dapu tunes, interpreting traditional Hakka music through a global vocabulary.
