According to German fire authorities, two trams collided head-on in the city of Dusseldorf on the morning of the 23rd, leaving over 50 people injured. Half of the injured were transported to hospitals for treatment. The accident occurred around 11:30 AM at a busy intersection in the western part of Dusseldorf, and rescue units were immediately dispatched to the scene. A statement from the fire department indicated that 28 people were taken to hospitals, while another 28 sustained minor injuries and were treated on-site. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, and police have launched an investigation.
